[True Idol Project]
Welcome to Sunrise Land!
Are you ready to make your dream of becoming an idol come true?! Sunrise Land is currently in the middle of an exciting idol boom! It's a tough industry, but with talent and dedication, you'll come out on top! Are you ready to become a musical sensation?!
Essentially, you're going to become an idol in this RP and work your way up to the top. Of course, it's not as simple as just that. Throughout the game you'll have to deal with fans, managers and rival idol groups. Did I mention this game is also a turn based battle RP? It's a turn based battle RP. So you'll be engaging in exciting battles, or performances as we call them, to try and climb your way up the idol ladder!
Base App
Submit your app in the application section.
Full Name: (Your character’s actual name)
Stage Name/NickName: (You gotta have a stage name!)
Starting Idol Group: (You can start in a new group, an NPC group, or be single/in no group at all.)
Starting Fame: (Fame is your level! Every time you complete a show or a battle against another group, it increases by 1. Losing a battle or performing badly will decrease it by 1. When your fame increases, you can increase your singing, personality and one other stat (including both prior mentioned stats) by 1. When your fame decreases, remove 1 point from your singing, personality and one other stat. Your fame is 1 at the minimum and 100 at the maximum. Performances at venues, or battles with groups, more than 4 levels below you will not increase your fame. All new groups start at a fame level of 5. If you start in an NPC group, your fame is at their amount at the time of joining. If you’re a single idol, you can start at any level from 1-[whatever the current highest fame idol groups fame is+10] but cannot join any/perform with idol groups unless they are the same level as you or higher. You can still battle them, if they desire, though. If your fame drops to zero, you have faded into obscurity and no-one loves you anymore. Who even are you?)
Appearance: (Describe what you look like.)
Catchphrase: (Your stage catchphrase. This will be important, so it’s important you’re ready to bust it out at the drop of a hat.)
Likes: (What do you like?)
Favorite Food/Book/Movie: (Tell us about a favourite thing of yours.)
Most Hated Thing: (What do you hate? Tell us what makes you fill up with disgust.)
Song Specialty: (What song is your specialty?)
Stats
You have 20 points to distribute between the stats.
Dancing: Your attack. When you attack, provided the attack hits, the opponent's def is removed from your atk. The result is dealt to the opponent's health. If the result is 0 or less, 1 damage is dealt. All special attacks, unless stated otherwise, get a boost of their damage x (your atk/10) rounded to the nearest whole number.
Acting: Your defense.
Singing: Your health. Increases by 5 for every point. (If singing is at 0, your hp is 1)
Acrobatics: Your likelihood of hitting or evading. Every time an attack occurs, the defenders acrobatics is taken from double the attacker’s acrobatics. The resulting number cannot go below 1. Then, randomise a number from 1-10. If the number is within 1 and the result, then the attack hits. If it's a venue battle, it is not doubled.
Personality: Choose whether you want a Sweet Personality [SP] or Thrilling Personality [TP]. SP begins at max and is a static number, TP begins at 0 and regenerates/grows every turn by 1. For every point in this stat, max SP increases by 10 or max TP increases by 5.
Consult this document for the different styles: Style Doc
Vocal Style: (The element of your special moves)
Personal Style: (The element that you are attuned with. Dictates your weakness and the style of your normal, non-special attack.)
Overall/Special Style*: (Only include this if your two above styles create a special/overall style as indicated by the doc. Moves of this style have all the strengths or weaknesses of the above two styles. If they're contradictory, that buff/debuff is cancelled out.)

Battles
Venue Battles: Venue battles are solo performances. These are on a real life time limit and the goal is to increase the audience’s hype to max. Think of it like an inversed RPG battle, instead of your attacks taking health it increases the audience's “health” and you want to raise it from 0 to it’s maximum. As an additional rule, you and your group all have to take turns. So you cannot post until it’s your turn again.
Idol Battles: These are battles between two idol groups. You want to reduce the opposing idol groups members health to zero. If a smaller group faces a bigger group, they only need to defeat an amount of idols equal to the amount of members in their group (unless special circumstances, such as the story, overrule this.) This does not apply to solo idols. The turn base here is that you can’t post until a member of the opposing team has posted. The overall idol with the highest acrobatics gets the first turn. If your health runs out, you must retire from that gig to let the other stars shine (aka you’re KOed and don’t get a level boost from the battle.)

Money
After every won battle, you get a payout of the level of the venue x 100 OR Your fame + [(Opponent's Fame - Your Fame) x 100] + (your fame x 50). Fights against another idol will always give you minimum $100. You can use money to purchase nice things or items to help you out or pay off your gambling debts or whatever.
Items
You can use items in battle. If you use an item in an unconventional way, or an item without a set battle effect, it’s up to the GM to decide just what the hell happens. So yes. If you want, you can use a fire extinguisher to bludgeon someone on the other team. Who knows what will happen, though.
Idol Groups
Your idol group can have up to 5 members, with a minimum of two starting members. This is essentially your party.
To remove a member of your group, either half (if the group is even) or half + 1 (if the group is odd) must agree to remove that member from the group. In the case of a 2 person group, the person opting for the group to split loses the rights to the group name.

Combo’s/Idol Roll Call
A combo costs 100 SP/TP. To initiate it, all idol group members must post their catchphrase before the opposing group manages to post, in a chain. This is the only exception to the turn based rule. If successful, the attack does the combined atk of all the members to each opposing member (minus each member’s defense, individually, of course.) However, if the chain is broken, no damage is done, the group’s turn ends and the cost of the combo is divided evenly (or as even as possible) between the members who were in the chain before it was disrupted. Any leftover cost to be paid is paid by the one who initiated the combo.
Movelist
All idols begin with a movelist of 4 moves. At least 1 attack and 1 support move is provided. After every battle against a new group or at a new venue, and after every fifth battle, they learn a new move.
Status Effects
Unless noted otherwise, every time your turn begins randomise a number from 1-10. If it’s a number from 1 to your recovery rate (1+the amount of your turns past since infliction), then you’re healed. Otherwise, the effect persists.
Stage Fright - You cannot attack.
Amnesia - You cannot attack, unless you get hit by an opponent attack
Distracted - Each rotation, roll a number from 1-4. If it’s not 4, you cannot attack.
Beat Deaf - Each time the inflicted attacks, there’s a 50% chance they’ll hurt a random member of their group instead
Rythm Deaf - Each time the inflicted attacks, there’s a 50% chance they’ll hurt their entire group instead
Tone Deaf - Each time the inflicted attacks, there’s a 50% chance they’ll hurt themselves instead
Blinded - Reduce acrobatics by half
Fatigue - Lose 10sp/tp every rotation
Sore Throat - Lose 5 hp every rotation
Enraged - Double attack, roll a 1-6 every rotation. If you roll any number besides 6, the attack hits a random group member.
Pumped - Double attack
Crowd Pleaser - 5 Hp and Sp grows back every rotation
Friendly - Nullify style weakness
Diva - Nullify style strengths
Neutral - Nullify style strengths and weaknesses
Hyper - Reduce accuracy, increase evasion

Song Boost
If you want a boost, you can pay the venue to play your ideal track when battling another group. By playing a song composed/written by your group, you gain a +2 boost to all your stats during the battle. By playing your SPECIALTY song, you gain +5. Note that this tends to be expensive, and the other group can do it too. If you BOTH want to do this, you can enter a little bidding war before the battle...
NPC Types
Throughout the game, there are numerous types of NPC's that can provide all sorts of effects for you (in-story and in-battle) such as fans or managers. As they are encountered, this section will flesh out.
NPC Idol Groups
FREEDOM 4 (fame 4)
The most PATRIOTIC OF IDOL GROUPS. Just... not for Sunrise Land. A Idol group composed entirely of idols from Trumpica, who love freedom, eagles and guns.
Legal Aidoru (fame 5)
When these idols aren't in court helping real lawyers with real cases because that's what teenage girls do, they're an idol group in their free time.
BokuImo (fame 5)
A "little sister" themed idol group. Because just lusting after family members or little girls wasn't weird enough.
The Ojou-Sama Experience (fame 6)
An idol group that was formed because someone had the thought "could we make a group whose stage personas do nothing but emotionally abuse the fans and STILL make money?" The answer was, of course, yes.
Yandere Forum (fame 6)
These idols may seem sweet and cute. But they're all psychopathic, murderous stalkers. Consisting of only yandere's, this group will capture your heart and tear it out.
Out Of The Box (fame 7)
The Box King is dead! Long live the Box Queens!
Royal Flush (fame 8)
Take a gamble on these card-themed idols and make your OWN shitty casino based pun.
Luv Life (fame 10)
The idols with no problems.
Neko2Neko (fame 10)
Combining catgirls+idols!? This is the anime trash that no otaku can turn away from!
YokaIdols (fame 15)
Even cultural folklore isn't immune to the effects of moe. Nothing is sacred.
Pocket Idols (fame 20)
The theme is that these idol's are cute critters you can capture and put in your pocket. But still young moe girls. Wait. No. That sounds super creepy. I'm sorry...
