Name: Nobukazu Nishimura (Born as Nobuko Nishimura)
Age: 16
Gender: Male (Assigned female at birth)
Arcana: Wheel of Fortune (Possibly a placeholder in case I think of a more fitting one)
Appearance: Nobukazu is about 5'2 and has a somewhat athletic build as a combination of his part-time job and the fact that he works out semi-regularly. He usually wears a butler outfit or a blue happi coat. He has dark brown skin. As a result of his mixed ancestry, he has natural blue eyes that he's rather proud of for being rather unique among the Japanese. He dyes his hair platinum blond, partially because it looks cool to him, and partially because he made a mistake (the short version is that he did not realize that platinum blond and blond were not the same thing). He has a faded horizontal scar under his left eye that isn't too noticeable unless you're really looking closely at his face. Depending on whether he's at his job or not, the image he projects can vary. His hairstyle can best be described as hair that almost (but not quite) reaches his eyes in the front, with a short ponytail that resembles a rattail at the back.
Weapon Type: Cudgels. (They look cool to him! ... Oh, and it's the weapon that he adjusts to easiest. That's probably important too. But coolness! That's what's really important!)
Personality: Nobukazu is basically the type of person who has two "modes" to him, though one is much more common than the other. When he is working at his part-time job at a butler café, he exudes an aura of professionalism, politeness, and basically he seems like the kind of skilled person that you'd want to rely on. This personality lasts up until Nobukazu's shift is over and he doesn't have to work. As soon as that happens, he resembles the personality more people are familiar with... The personality that is rather awkward, a bit clumsy, and generally does not seem reliable at all.
When not working, Nobukazu reveals himself to be nowhere near as professional as you'd think he'd be. While on-duty, he makes sure that his appearance is perfect. While not working, he doesn't really care at all, as long as he can go back to his "professional" look whenever he wants. Getting multiple stains on his clothes? Eh, that's cool. He doesn't have to work until later anyway, he can shower and switch to his work uniform later. He's totally cool with not caring for a while.
To put it as bluntly as possible, Nobukazu is kind of a socially awkward dork. But in a good way! Probably! Depends on your individual opinion. He is the type who admires "coolness" in all its forms, which would probably explain his collection of superhero merchandise. Though he almost seems stoic while on-duty, off-duty he is very emotional, to the point that it's very hard to see him with a truly "neutral" expression. He makes it no secret if other people have earned his admiration, and he is prone to accidentally voicing out his fictional scenarios. (Example: If he saw someone talk down a bully, he would instead narrate how a legendary hero was able to stop the lord of darkness from devouring the world.)
As far as talking to other people goes, Nobukazu's skills are kind of a mixed bag. It takes a while for him to realize if he's making someone else uncomfortable, though he'll wholeheartedly apologize once he realizes his error (perhaps more than necessary). Nobukazu also seems to have mastered the art of making really cheesy puns at seemingly random times, though he's not really going to do that during serious moments. Let the record also show that Nobukazu is a really bad liar, and it doesn't take a detective to find out when he's lying about something. He's much better at keeping a secret if it just involves staying quiet about it though. (The "bad liar" stuff will likely come into play during more comedic scenes.)
When talking to strangers, Nobukazu has this unmistakable aura of being kind of uncomfortable, but also wanting to know more about them. He is much more comfortable around animals than people, finding even the ones generally considered ugly to be rather "cute". He is the type of person who will see an owner walking his dog, enthusiastically greet the dog, realize how awkward he is, and then greet the fellow human being as well. In an odd way, if you can get past the initial awkwardness and befriend him, Nobukazu proves to be fairly reliable in his own way after all! He's willing to listen to most requests (and unless the request is ridiculous or against his morals, he'll probably go with it) and he's generally helpful to have around.
For some miscellanous facts, he really likes spicy food. He almost always carries a bottle of hot sauce with him at all times. He tends to avoid most sweet foods. An exception is peaches. Peaches are quite possibly his favorite thing to eat, ever. Other than his tastes in food, Nobukazu has certain types of media that he really likes. To put it in the most basic way possible, he really likes it when a videogame, or a book, or a show, or what have you is either very silly, or very dark, and he especially likes stuff that can do both (bonus if it includes romance). You can also sometimes find him reading BL.
Backstory: It didn't take very long for Nobukazu to realize that he didn't exactly do a lot of things that other girls did. One vivid memory he has is crying when he was forced to put on a skirt though at the time, he was unsure as to why. In general, he spent a lot of his childhood unsure of a lot of things. Thankfully for him, his father, Tomokazu, picked up on the most probable reason fairly quickly: His child, who had been assigned female at birth, identified as a man instead. Tomokazu was thankfully a very open-minded man (if a bit crass at times) so he did his best to explain everything to Nobukazu. Though considering how young he was at the time, Nobukazu was still very confused.
Over time, Nobukazu heard stories of other people who were similar to him in terms of identifying differently than what's considered "normal", though he didn't really understand the concept of discrimination or the long history of the transgender movement. What he did know was that he didn't really like being teased about it. Thankfully, with the support of his father, Nobukazu lived his life without ever once thinking that there was something "wrong" with himself for long, though he did have his own fair share of angst.
While his legal name is still Nobuko, Nobukazu always introduces himself as Nobukazu. To him, it is more of a real name than his legal name is. As a sidenote, while he has faced some harsh discrimination in the past, he doesn't have anything against saying that he's transgender. He just usually doesn't unless someone asks. Saying that he's transgender to other people would be a bit like if a cisgender male person introduced himself as male explicitly. It just seems odd to him. He does still hold some fear each time that someone's opinion of him will drop though. Nobukazu has thought about transitioning, but the idea of a scary surgery honestly frightens him and makes him feel uncomfortable.
Nobukazu and his father moved to Osenjima when Nobukazu was about 14 years old, mostly because his father was offered a well-paying job. Nobukazu obviously enrolled in school there, though he'd tell you that getting to work part-time at a butler café was the best part of the deal.
Persona Name: Momotarō
Appearance: Momotarō resembles a life-sized porcelain doll with a cheery expression on his face. He carries a bell in one hand, and a paper fan in the other. His black hair is carefully maintained, and if he was ever summoned and not fighting for some reason, he would not look like a Persona capable of combat. But he is, obviously. He wears what appears to be a mixture of real armor and ceremonial garb. He's rather short and looks unintimidating for a Persona, but those who know of his story would know that he's a symbol of great things. (Yes, I am basically describing the current Wikipedia picture for him. I was going to say "look at the picture" but decided to try my hand at a basic description to be somewhat less lazy.)
