SAO RP: Gun Terra Factions Online
ill never get tired of this acronym
ill never get tired of this acronym
Story:
Welcome to GUN TERRA FACTIONS Online, or as we like to call it, “GTFO”. We at Lizard Entertainment are proud to call GTFO the world’s premiere Massively Multiplayer Tactical Shooter Game, where millions of players join up to have grand battles and raid epic bosses. It’s sorta like Destiny, if it were good. Our extremely in-depth VR systems allow users to basically enter the game and do everything they could in real life-- Including things you’d never want to. Since its launch in 2025, GTFO has been the world’s premiere action gaming experience, taking the world by storm as millions of people strap on silly headgear and go entirely limp to reality to enter its virtual world.
In the Wasteland Wonderland of GTFO, squads of players travel the vast Desert Planet of CHATALY, seeking battle with nothing but your GUNS and your SUPPLIES. Will you be a LONE WANDERER, traversing the wastelands alone, or join one of the TERRA FACTIONS and join the war for PLANET CHATALY? No matter what your path, you’ll surely find guns, glory, and action out under the hot triple suns of GTFO.
By the way, we here at Lizard Entertainment would like to address some concerns over the recent Unfortunate Accidents that have been Tangentially Connected to our product. There is no official evidence connecting GTFO to the tragic ACCIDENTAL DEATHS and until such time as a link is proven, please ignore all RUMORS of a PLAYER KILLER who causes ACTUAL DEATHS. These rumors are as of now, UNSUBSTANTIATED, and should not factor into your gameplay experience. Remember, if you checked the box when signing up, we are not liable for any hypothetical murders you might be involved in while playing our game.
Thank you, and now... GTFO.

About:
“Gun Terra Factions Online” is a roleplay inspired by Sword Art Online, sort of in the same way that the Titanic inspired people not to call their ship “unsinkable”. If you’re unfamiliar with the source material, that’s fine, since this RP has no relation to the story beyond the premise of the franchise.
In GTFO (the RP) you will play as players in a virtual reality MMO, GTFO (the video game), which is basically indistinguishable from reality except that it’s cooler and you get guns and stuff. However as the group of gamers play on, they discover that all is not well in the world of GTFO, and that a series of bizarre murders connected to the games is unfolding in reality.
However, unbeknownst to the gamers, this mysterious Player Killer isn’t alone-- With them are several Accomplices working in secret to make sure the killer’s identity isn’t discovered, and to aid them in their killings. Accomplices will receive special orders and abilities from the killer, and have separate goals to achieve while playing the game.
There will be two phases to each session of the RP: “In-Game” and “IRL”. The “In-Game” Segments will be the public RP, where the main activities in the game will occur. Once whatever event for the game session has been accomplished, the RP will move to IRL.
“IRL”, unlike In-Game, will be done privately, and involve PMs between GMs and players. For this, each player will send a brief summary of their characters’ actions in Real Life, and GMs will respond with the results. Most of the time, nothing will happen, but in some cases, you might run into danger if you plan on going after the killer. You can also choose to meet other players IRL, in which case you will simply PM directly but include GMs in the convo. After all the events of IRL have been resolved, the RP will return to “In-Game”.
At the start of each In-Game segment, there will be a “Developer Notes” segment showing the public results of any IRL actions worthy of note, and any plot-related events happening for the day.
The game will end when the Player Killer is caught and defeated.
The Accomplices
The main antagonists of the RP, Accomplices work for the Player Killer, either of their own volition, or perhaps for some other reason? The PKer has a wide array of accomplices working throughout the game, and defeating/capturing them IRL is the main goal of the game. Accomplices will be played by either NPCs, but can also be played by players.
If you wish to be an accomplice, please PM the GM with a short message declaring your intention to do evil and whatnot. Accomplice roles will be handed out to those who want them, unless there are too many, in which case you all are sick fucks and first come first served. If no Accomplice requests are sent, I will pick randomly, in which case, you can send in a request to NOT be accompliced. I’ll try to accommodate who I can, but in the event of a problem, first come first served.
Though the accomplices’ goals in the story are to remain hidden, you can feel free to reveal your alignment OOC if you like, and write an explicitly accomplice character if you so choose.
At the start of each In-Game segment, Accomplices will receive PMs from the Player Killer, giving them their missions for the day. It’s up to the Accomplices to complete the missions, and be handsomely rewarded should they succeed... Or punished if they fail.
The World Of GTFO
GTFO is a sci-fi/western/military/shooter game. Think of Mad Max/Trigun/Gun Gale Online/GTA/Call of Duty, etc. It takes place on an alien planet that’s mostly desert, and the game revolves around Factions in a constant battle for the few and far between resources.
The game is essentially a mass PvP style where players group up and battle in huge guild wars over the territory of the game. Players get more bonuses and rewards when a session ends with their Faction with the most land.
Hit Points and Ammo: Your two main assets in the game. When a player's HP hits 0, they will be defeated and sent back to the spawn area. When a player is out of Ammo, their guns will no longer fire and they'll be defenseless. HP and Ammo can be restored by Health Packs (+50% of total HP) and Ammo Clips (+50% of total Ammo) however, these items are scarce and can only be won by defeating enemies and winning territory. Players will lose HP whenever they take damage in any way, and GMs will help determine in cases of obscurity. The general rule of thumb is this:
- Minor Hit: 10
- Regular Hit: 50
- Headshot: 100
Ammo will tend to vary depending on the type of weapons, but for simplicity's sake, we'll think of the gunfire like percentages: i.e. "Fire 50% of the clip at the enemy", which raises your chances for a hit. For vehicles, Ammo is changed to "Gas", and follows the same logic; Low Speed: 10, Regular Speed: 50, Full Throtle: 100.
Factions: You know the Spark, Flare, and Mystic teams from Pokemon GO? That’s basically what these are; Players choose a side and any points they win boost their chances for rewards.
Death’s Bullets: “No better way to say ‘im 13’ than joining this one”
Luminous Royals: “Admit it, you only joined this one cause the NPC is hot”
Weeping Sands: “I relate strongly to this one”
Unaffiliated: “You couldn’t be bothered to decide, so screw it.”
Classes: Pick ur class so your character can do things
Mercenary - Wielding both blade and bullet, Mercenaries are unparalleled in combat, using their training and skill to take down their foes with nothing but their bare hands, which for 90% of players translates to "run in guns blazing and die". Let down your team like no other by taking this class, and get ready to feed off the groans and tears of your healers.
Sniper - Staying back from the fight, Snipers scope out the area and aid the battle from afar with special bullets and precision shooting. They best stay out of danger, because at close range they are extremely squishy. Pick this class for a point and click adventur-- wait shit this is VR that joke doesn't work.
Sentinel - Those who armor themselves up to the teeth, the Sentinel’s power armor is a weapon in and of itself. They can tear through enemies and withstand the strongest of blasts, at the cost of mobility anEe on power packs. Depending on the armor type, some will specialize in attacking, while others focus on defending their allies. Pick this class to do all the work and get none of the credit.
Pilot - With expert skill at the controls of any vehicle, Pilots are able to bring players into and out of the fight, along with mobilizing across the area. Or alternatively, just running people the fuck over. Pick this class just so your fucking party will stop complaining and you can get to the fight already.
Technician - Every fighter needs their support, and Technicians are the only ones equipped to keep their fighters alive and at full power in the heat of battle. Their Repair Kits can be used to fix broken weapons and temporarily boost working ones, while the Medical Kit can provide much needed health at any time. Pick this class and prepare to suffer.
- HP: 200
- Ammo: 50 per clip

Races: um actually i dont see race?? anyways in GTFO, race will give you some minor quirks and bonuses.

Bonus: Lucky Shot (Once per session, roll for a 50% chance to gain +5 Ammo and +10 HP.)
Droid: “They’re basically human, but better and slightly less racist.”
Bonus: Body of Steel (+10 to Base HP, Immune to Poison)
Chatalian: “Fucking alien cat people. Need I say more?”
Bonus: Spirit of the Sand (Once per session, turn invisible to players of enemy factions for 10 seconds.)
Half-breed: “You see Timmy, when a human and a Chatalian love each other very much...”
Bonus: Agility (-50 to Base HP, Once per session, roll for a 50% chance to completely dodge an attack.)
