No matter who you are in the Idol world, you've heard of Coolmeyer's Diner. With its broken neon sign and constant smell of whiskey, the place looks like your typical tavern and bar, where you can get some soggy steaks and some half-decent alcohol, while the old lady in the back rants to the air. Run by Murphy Coolmeyer himself, this spot is a guaranteed place to meet hoodlums, lowlifes, ex-idols, and managers who dipped a bit too far into someone else's purse.
Though people rarely frequent Coolmeyer's for the shitty food, lousy drinks, or Madame Blackrose's piano playing, sometimes, Coolmeyers' will open its doors to a small, solo concert. The pay is surprisingly good, the audience captive, if nothing else, and though the soundproof walls won't attract any outsiders, you've got plenty of coverage in case you don't do so hot. Maybe it's all the better to be loud as you can in there-- Coolmeyer seems to like it better when he's got "business" to attend to on the floor above.

Previously...The Cool Girl stepped onstage, Auntie Blackrose sitting proudly in the seats, a few feet away from the idol aficionado still passed out next to his open laptop. Cool Girl grasped one of her trusty dinosaurs before stowing it away in her jacket. The lights dimmed, casting everything in a blood-red dye for dramatic effect-- Also so it would be harder to notice the bloodstains, but that wasn't particularly relevant. "...Shall we trade names before we cross swords?" CG asked, swiping a comb through her locks once more.

Aya also stepped onto the stage, the red lighting doing nothing to perturb the white-clad techno star.
"Aya Radiata. I'm known as Shining Destiny onstage."

"Aya..." CG repeated the name, the word growing 10 times cooler the nanosecond it left her lips. She let it hang in the air for a moment, before quickly pocketing her comb.
Yes, she hadn't been wrong; this was indeed the "Shining Destiny" girl she'd seen perform "I Remember" online. She had a good voice, in spite of stiff dance moves. But she was interesting-- It was rare to find anyone who was as soulless unaffected as her. This battle would be a good opportunity to find out exactly what this girl was made of. And, subsequently, what SHE was made of.
"You can call me 'CG'." She replied. "Thank you for joining me for this battle. Now, let's get this party started."
With that, CG hurled off her jacket, which fluttered down directly onto the nearby coatrack, leaving her in a sleeveless black dress adorned with a few thin red rose designs. She signaled Auntie Blackrose, who quickly kicked up the jukebox, picking out a song for them to perform. It spun, flipping randomly through thousands upon thousands of songs, the ticking of the machinery acting as a countdown for the idols-- The fuse before the battle.
All was silent, as they waited for the music to hit.

The jukebox shakes wildly as a disc is forcefully placed on the wheel. It starts with a screech before playing the track to set the mood of the battle. Order The Cool Girl Shining Destiny
Song: Give It UpShining Destiny vs. The Cool Girl
Will Destiny shine or will Cool Girl chill the performance to the core in her home court?
Two Idols.
One Audience.
One Stage.
IDOL BATTLE START!

The Cool Girl decides to GIVE IT UP and fires a barrage of ICE CANDY at Aya.
Roll = 8
The Ice Candy barrage hits Aya-- The minty-fresh barrage deals 5 Damage to the Shining Idol. Will the added effects occur!?
Roll = 13 Roll = 10
Nope. The minty taste has no effect.

Aya uses Heart to Heart. Aya heals the five damage she'd just been dealt at the low low price of 2 SP.

Just like that, Aya had completely undermined her move and caused her to waste 10 whole SP out of her already limited stock! Cool Girl had been completely outmaneuvered by the simplest of abilities! This "Aya" girl... she was more powerful than she had imagined. What would CG do now!?
She simply threw a stylish DANCE KICK at Aya--
Roll = 9
Or rather, three fight away from Aya. Perhaps wearing sunglasses in dim lighting wasn't the best idea after all.

Aya simply stared down CG as she missed her stylish kick. It was difficult to see what was going on in her head. Not really knowing what else to do, Aya simply started dancing, just doing what felt natural.
Roll: 1
Perhaps Gwendalyn was right. Perhaps she was trying too hard. Aya deals an awesome 1 point of stress to CG's self-esteem. Or something like that anyways.

The Cool Girl
(Fame 6)
HP: 19/20
SP: 40/50
It looks like her assessment was right-- Her dancing skill was low. Yet it was damage, and CG didn't have the SP to spare to casually shrug off her wounds. Looks like her best bet was to simply power through.
CG quickly picked herself up, looking for all the world as if she hadn't just whiffed her last move completely; CG's philosophy seemed to be that so long as she didn't acknowledge the failure, it never happened. An admirable trait, if unnoticed by reality.
CG quickly used Tea at the Night of Christmas, coolly downing a cup of tea in one swift gulp.
CG's stats raised by 2!

...Was CG drinking tea? Right in the middle of their fight? Aya was actually slightly jealous. She rather liked tea. Plenty of antioxidants and natural caffeine and perfect for pop stars to make their performances bett- oh.
Oooh. That makes sense now. Aya carried on dancing.
Roll: 3
We're still elegant over here.

Indeed, CG's special move was very special. Aya got special'd pretty hard. In fact, she got special'd so hard, she decided to KEEP ON DANCING.
Roll: 9
Aya's not cool enough. Aya wants tea now.
